Hope, Love, and Dream Classes

 

November was a busy month with lots of celebrations! Our theme during this time was  ‘Famous Inventors and their Inventions’.

 

 

The students learned about some of the many different inventors, and their inventions. They also got to observe, and make some of the inventions that are still used today!

 

The theme Inventors and Inventions was also continued during the afternoon classes, where students got to learn more about particular inventors, build, and test their inventions, too!

 

 

During this month we continued to learn and practice new Montessori jobs, practice our math, conversation, and handwritting skills.

 

 

  

 

 

 

We had fun in musical English, art, and got to spend some time outside drawing the fall colors, too! 

On Friday November 10^th, we had our annual garage sale. Everyone brought in things they wanted to sell. Before we started, we had a quick lesson and demonstration about the importance of money.  This taught the students about the concept of buying and selling.  Then.... the fun began!

 

 

Unfortunately, due to the earthquakes we were unable to go on our scheduled field trip to the Science Museum on November 15th! However, we will be going next month! We did get to practice our Earthquake safety measures, and evacuation procedure.

November 23^rd was a day for festive celebrations, wonderful art and craft projects, and learning about the history and traditions of American Thanksgiving.

 

 

 

 

We also talked about what we are all thankful for, and enjoyed a big Thanksgiving feast during lunch.

 

 

 

October 2017

Hope, Love and Dream Classes

October was here before we knew it.  We started the month with a long Chusuk vacation.  We hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

The change in month brought with it a change of season, Fall.  This was a great time to explain the change in weather that was occurring all around us. That being said, our theme for October was the weather.

The students learned about the different types of weather, cloud formations, and the water cycle.  We also continued the theme of “the weather”, during the afternoon classes, too!

During this month we continued to learn and practice new Montessori jobs, practice our math, conversation, and handwritting skills.  We had fun in musical English, and art, too!

 

On October 11th, we went on our monthly field trip to Yeonil Children's Traffic Land.

Got a chance to drive a Gokart around a driving course, and have a yummy picnic lunch, too!

On October 31st, we celebrated Charlie's 7th birthday.

Happy birthday Charlie.

On the same day, all three classes celebrated Halloween together.

The students dressed up in their costumes, explained what character they were, and then had the chance to walk through the spooky haunted house in Hope classroom. There were a lot of yummy treats for those Trick or Treaters, too!
