We had a really exciting month in September. Our new teacher, Miss Maura, arrived! We had so much fun showing her around our school and playing together.
Miss Maura is from Portland, Oregon in the United States. She showed us some pictures of her family and where she lived. She also lived in Japan and Chile, but this is her first time in Korea.
In September we learned all about birds. We learned about how baby birds are born in eggs, how birds make nests and the names of many kinds of birds. Then we went to see the bird park in Gyeongju.
There were other animals at the park too, like alligators, fish, turtles and lizards.
After the bird park, we had a picnic outside. It was really nice weather!
September 27th was Chuseok, so we didn't come to school on Monday and Tuesday. Before the holiday, we learned all about Chuseok traditions and we practiced bowing.
On the 25th, we celebrated Victoria's 4th birthday. She wore a beautiful dress and showed us some pictures of her when she was younger. We gave her some presents and then we had some birthday cake.
