Since spring is now in full bloom, and the warm weather is finally here, we got to spend more time outside… well… when the yellow dust levels were low. And of course April wouldn't be April with out April Fools Day...
This months theme was learning all about flowers, and it was a great way to welcome in spring. The students learned the English names of flowers, their body parts, and by the end of April, were able to tell the differences in color, shape, and size.
During this month we got to practice our reading, writing, and language skills, while still learning about different Montessori jobs. We also had fun in musical English and art class...
Reading, cooking and science class!
We had a fun filled April
which started with all of the students taking part in planting day, which was on Friday,
April 5th. The students designed their own pictures for their individual plant pot.
They then choose which flowers they wanted to plant, collected some soil and the seeds, and then planted the seeds in their plant pot, and watered them over the course of the month. It was so much fun to watch them grow!
During this month we had a scheduled field trip to Gyeongju Botanical Gardens, on Friday April 26th. Although it was a rather wet day we still had a lot of fun, and a great time looking at all of the different flowers.
