Newspaper Party

Last week our art teacher, Miss Lindsay, asked us to shred a bunch of newspaper for a mysterious art project. Maybe we're going to do papier mache tomorrow or something. Anyway, we undertook the shredding job with typical zeal and predictable results...

Happy Birthday To James

Friday was James' birthday. First he showed us some pictures of him when he was very small, and a poster made by his mom. Then we exchanged gifts and sang "Happy Birthday". He blew out his candles and we feasted on spaghetti. (There are no pictures of the spaghetti because the photographer was busy eating it.)

Super Fast Train Rider

For Sharing Day, Mr. Harry brought a newspaper article about the ultrafast KTX train on which he was recently a passenger.

Ellen's Goodbye Party

We didn't know any good farewell songs so we sang about the solar system instead.

The Earth Goes Around The Sun

Farewell to Ellen

Ellen's last day was Monday. She's left us to go to New Zealand! We hope to see her again one day with a Kiwi accent.

Pizza Party

Friday before last, we had an awesome pizza party. Thanks to the parents who made it possible!

July Newsletter

This month we'll be studying musical instruments. Everybody loves making music and this month we'll all have the chance to try out different types of instruments. Students will learn about wind, string and percussion instruments, about what makes a sound have higher or lower pitch, and which instruments produce which sounds.

Mr. Brian will be brining in several instruments for us all to try, including guitar, melodica, glockenspiel, slide whistle, triangle, castanets and rhythm sticks, but WE NEED YOUR HELP! If any parents have a keyboard, tuba, clarinet ... anything at home that we can use in class, please contact Ms. Stephanie and let her know. We appreciate it!

Finally, for the fun summer month of July we'll have a themed dress day every day. Please consult the calendar above for each day's theme. The first dress-up day will be Monday, July 6th. Every Monday is Color Day, and this day we'll be wearing red, white and blue in honor of the 4th of July, America's Independence Day. Don't forget to find some red, white and blue clothes to wear that day!
