July Newsletter

Dear Parents,

This month we will be learning about fruits and vegetables. This is a great way to expand our vocabulary, not just by learning the many names of the things we eat, but by describing how they look, feel, smell and taste. (We can even thump a few watermelons and talk about how they sound.) We'll also practice shopping for and preparing some foods.

Also, as summer is in full swing we will be enjoying some summer camp-style theme days. Every Monday in July will have a different dress theme, starting with Red, White and Blue day on Monday, July 5th. The American colors are to celebrate (one day late) the Fourth of July, America's Independence Day.

Wednesdays are Wacky Wednesdays, when everyone wears crazy, mismatched, too-big or too-small clothes. Weird hairstyles are also encouraged. Friday will be Water Day, with swimming, sprinkler and water balloon fun. A complete schedule is posted below.

Enjoy your child!
