Dear Parents,

Get ready for an action-packed month that will be focused on the students speaking through practicing on their own speeches. This month’s theme will be on the student’s parents and their families. All the students will be introducing their family members in their speeches which everyone will practice every day.

This month we celebrate and give thanks to all of the parents! On May 8^th the students of SEM will be giving thanks to all the parents in celebration of Parent’s Day! So, THANK YOU to all the parents out there for all you do! Also, both Love and Dream class will be going on a Field Trip to the Teddy Bear Museum on May . Afterwards, the student’s will have a picnic lunch outside to enjoy the springtime weather. Please remember to make your child a delicious lunch for the spring picnic!

Matching fruits and vegetables...

Today the sudent's did a matching test with the fruits and vegetables they learned about! Everyone did a great job!

Tadpoles...growing to become frogs

We have 11 new tadpoles that all of the students learned about. They learned that they will turn into frogs and over the next several months....

Supermarket at SEM...buying fruits and vegetables

We spent lots of time learning the names of fruits and vegetables and learning about money. So several days the student's used money to buy fruits and vegetables in SEM's Supermarket.

Plants are growing...and Circle time

The teacher's talked each day about plants, fruits and vegetables during Circle Time and all day long. Here are the student's plants starting to grow in their pots.

Gardening in April

Planting Day and doing gardening....

On April 27th, SEM student's travelled to a very beautiful park in Pohang to look at the flowers and ponds and plants that we have learned about this month. Everyone enjoyed this field trip and picnic.

Planting Day and making pots

Today all of Korea and SEM celebrated Planting Day. The student's of Love and Dream class made pots and decorated them to plant flowers and plants in them. Everyone helped in planting the seeds and learning about how plants, fruits and vegetables grow.
