May was such a fun month here at SEM, we did lots of group work together..... and there were lots of special holidays, too!
This month our theme was learning how to draw. Not only did we learn how to draw, but we also learned some new vocabulary, along with different methods and techniques associated with drawing. With all of the fun and practice we had, by the end of the month we were all artists!
We practiced our artwork by drawing pictures in chalk on the ground at the park. Then we played!

We continued learning new Montessori jobs.
Had fun and learned alot in musical English and art class.

There was a special holiday on May 5th. That's right, it was Children's Day, and to show our appreciation to all of our wonderful students, we had an action packed day.
We made colorful bags, wrote our names on them, and drew pictures, too!

...and had a pizza party. It was so much fun!

We made a nice surprise for Parent's Day, on May 8th.
On May 15th we celebrated Teacher's Day with a yummy cake! Thank you!
We also celebrated two birthdays on May 16th. Happy birthday Hans and Angela.

On Friday May 26th, we went on a field trip to Kyungju Art Museum. Here we got to see a lot of really cool art work.
There were drawings of animals, flowers, and people. We got to see the skills we learned here at SEM used by some famous artists here in South Korea.
We had a picnic lunch...
