October 2020!

Welcome to our October blog post! We hope you enjoy the snapshots of some of our activities!

We only had one birthday this month, one of our Love Class friends. She brought in some adorable baby pictures and we all got to celebrate with her!

Love Class had some Quiet Mind Time. Practicing listening and thinking is important, and we’re happy we had some time to do it!

We also had a group test. Everyone works very hard and did very well!

Look at the Dream Class students also working very hard!

Dream Class has also been doing Musical English class with Miss Ashley. The students really enjoy it!

We also like doing our Montessori jobs every day. We have Fruit and Vegetable Cutting, Colored Sea Animals, Spooning Stones, Stringing Beads, Matching Shades, Alphabet, Colored Rings, and so many more!

For science this month we did a volcano experiment. We tried to keep it from exploding everywhere, but it was very messy (and fun)! We made pretty pink lava!

Also being October we had the spookiest day of the year: Halloween! We all dressed up and had a wonderful and scary day!

We even went across to play in the Pink Muhly Grass for a little bit, and took some class photos! Here we have the Love Class boys,

And the Love Class girls,

All the Love Class friends,

And all of the Dream Class friends!

We hope you’ve enjoyed taking a peek at what we’ve been doing this past month. From all of us at Stephanie’s English Montessori, we thank you for joining us for our October blog post, and we look forward to having you join us again next month!

September 2020!

Welcome to September’s blog post! We’ve said hello to a few new students this month. And we were so busy this month with reading, Fun Fun Fridays, science, sea animals, and even birthdays!

Look at our trio of firefighting friends! They’re so adorable dressing up in this costume that was brought for Fun Fun Friday.

We went outside for some rocket science. It really wasn’t that hard, but it did have some explosive results!

Then we also explored what makes something sink or float. Our predictions for most of the objects we experimented with were right, but some of them were surprises!

We also made sea animal masks; they’re so colorful and pretty!

We did more sea animal crafts. Dream class especially loves making jellyfish and octopuses.

We even cut out some of the pictures we drew for our sea animal classroom decorations so we could take them home.

This month we had a pair of birthdays in Love Class.

And that’s all we have for this post. Thank you for joining us as we share some of the things we’ve been doing in class. We hope you will continue staying safe, and join us next month too!

May, June, July 2020

Welcome to the collective May, June, and July blog post! We are very happy to have reopened after we closed for a few months due to the Covid-19 coronavirus.

In the beginning of May we celebrated some birthdays that had passed while we were staying safe at home. The Love Class boys all had birthdays that needed celebrating!

It’s not all birthdays all the time. Sometimes, the students can even sit quietly on their chairs!

Especially when it means listening to instructions on how to make flowers for arts and crafts.

We also had some more birthdays in May! One of the girls from Love Class got one year older.

And one of the girls from Dream Class also had their birthday!

Look how happy she is to turn 5!

May was certainly a birthday celebration month! Now onto June!

Dream Class worked very hard. Practicing your letters is important!

But it wasn’t all work and no play; social play-time is also very important.

Dream Class really likes singing Baby Shark during our morning Circle Time. They’re so cute!

When the weather is nice, we like to go outside for play-time!

June brought even more birthdays! This time for someone in Love Class.

June also brought a new monthly theme of Fruits and Vegetables. Dream class

practiced different names, and we also talked about which ones we thought were yummy and yucky.

Dream Class aren’t the one ones who work hard. Love Class was learning about butterflies and moths, finding what was different, and what was the same.

And we had a second birthday in June, this time for one of our Dream Class students.

Look how happy the sisters are!

In July, we started our new monthly theme of Insects and Arachnids. Dream Class is really good at remembering the names of all the different animals!

Dream Class also worked very hard practicing their letters.

We even were counting and coloring bugs!

Love Class was also working very hard! Look at their focus!

And July brought a Dream Class birthday at the beginning of the month too.

Look how happy we are! I think we might just be excited for cake though!

In July we had some fun dress up days. We had Wacky Wednesday, Pajama Day,

and Crazy Hair Day!

We’re so happy that you all joined us at Stephanie’s English Montessori! We love seeing your smiling faces every day.

And thank you, for joining us on our blog! We hope you join us for our next blog post!
