We will do many different activies, including reading stories, arts and crafts, drama, and others. At home, you can talk about your child's relatives and look at pictures of family members to help them understand.

Enjoy your child!

January Newsletter
Dear Parents,
Happy New Year! Our theme this month is Mathematics. We will spend some time every day with numbers, counting, patterns and computation. Our goal is for everyone to be able to count to 100 and do basic addition and subtraction. Students who have already mastered these skills will move on to two and three-digit addition and subtraction, fractions and inequalities.

If that sounds a little boring, don’t worry – it won’t be. We’ll use everyday objects, including ourselves, to practice counting. We’ll learn and play several math and numbers-based games. And we’ll all learn to use the abacus and calculator (as well as our fingers and toes) to do math.

At home, give your child counting tasks and feel free to quiz him or her on basic addition. Take note of numbers all around us – on clocks, food packages, on television and in books.
Enjoy your child!
