January 2018

Hope, Love and Dream Classes

First of all, let me wish you all a Happy New Year, and welcome to 2018! The New Year is here, and during this fun, filled month all three classes have been focussing on the year-end program.

Hope and Love class have worked really hard on learning their lines and their dance moves for the musical English version of Aladdin.

They have also been practising the timimg and pronunciation of the words for their "dream job" speeches.  While Dream class has been working together on their song, dance moves, and speeches, too!

In addition, Dream class has been working on their phonics and math skills.  While Hope and Love classes continued to work on their workbook to improve both their vocabulary, and sentence structure.

During January we continued to learn and practice new Montessori jobs, and had fun in musical English and art, too!

There was only one birthday to celebrate this month, and that was Amber's.  We celebrated her 8th birthday on Friday, January 26th.

Happy birthday Amber

We continued to work hard, learn new things, and of course have fun in the afternoon classes, too!

December 2017

Hope, Love and Dream Classes

December came around very quick, which would normally mean us starting a new theme.  However, this month all three classes continued with the theme Inventors and their Inventions.  We learned about more inventors, and how some of their inventions weren't always meant for good use!
There was a slight difference to the theme this month, as we also focused on our workbooks and reading, too.

During December we continued to learn and practice new Montessori jobs, practice our math, conversation, and handwriting skills.

We had fun in musical English and art, too!

We celebrated three birthdays this month. Irene's birthday was on December 10th, but we celebrated on the 8th due to the weekend. Nathaniel's birthday was on the 17th, but we celebrated on the 15th, and Finally Olivia's birthday was on December 23rd, again due to the weekend we celebrated on the 22nd.

Happy birthday Irene.

Happy Birthday Nathaniel.

Happy birthday Olivia.

We also had a secret birthday on December 6th.

Happy birthday Miss. Stephanie

On December 13th, we went on our monthly field trip. This time we were able to make it to the Science Museum in Yeonil, as last month there were the earthquakes!

There we got to observe, and take part in lots of cool activities using water, air, and watch a 3D movie. We also had a yummy picnic lunch, too!

On December 22nd, we had our annual Christmas party. It was so much fun getting dressed up.  The girls were wearing  their beautiful dresses, and the boys were wearing their smart pants, and shirts. There were even some bowties, too!

It was such an exciting day. We got to see Santa in person, he gave us all a Christmas present, and we got our photo taken with him before he had to go back to the North Pole.

Oops... That wasn't Santa!

Hohoho here we go...

Lunchtime was great. Everyone brought in different food, and when we put it all together we had a big, yummy Christmas feast. After lunch, we saw a magic show. It was really cool!

At the end of the month, SEM was closed for the winter holiday.

We hope both you, and your family have a great vacation!
