March 2018

Love and Dream Class

It was an exciting month here at SEM. With the End of Year Program now finished, it was time for us to say good bye to the old school year, and welcome in the new school year!

We started our new semester here at SEM by welcoming new students into Dream class.

Welcome to SEM.

For this reason our theme for March was to “get to know each other”. We all introduced ourselves to each other, and made new friends.

During this fun filled month we continued to practice our handwriting and math skills, while still learning about different Montessori jobs. This also gave us a chance to review and learn the school rules.

We also had fun in art, and musical English class, too!

We started the new term off with some cool, fun experiments in science class.

and made some yummy dishes in cooking class, too!

We celebrated two birthdays this month. Helia’s birthday was March 9th, and Tiger’s birthday was March 28th.

Happy birthday Helia.

Happy birthday Tiger.

In line with our theme for the month of March, we had our field trip to Yoohoo Kid’s CafĂ© in Yangduk on Friday March 23rd. It was so much fun interacting with each other and playing on the trampolines, in the ball pool, dressing up, and chasing each other around the climbing area.

We also had a yummy picnic lunch.

February 2018

Hope, Love and Dream Classes

Before we knew it, it was February, and we only had 24 days left! This fun but busy month was filled with excitement for the End of Year Program.  All of the teachers and students practiced their speeches and dance moves for the big night!

As well as practicing speeches and dance moves, the students also continued working on their handwriting skills, and learning new Montessori jobs.

We also celebrated a very special day on February 14th, that's right it was Valentine’s Day.  We celebrated by making Valentine’s Day cookies in cooking class.

The big day we had been preparing for was finally here.  We all arrived at SEM nice and early on Saturday February 24th  to get our costumes ready, and have our photos taken, the boys looking handsome in their tuxedos and the girls wearing their pretty white dresses.

Everyone was really excited to get dressed in their costumes, and put on a big show for their family.

Here is the list of performances from the night. My Dream Job speeches, Aladdin, The Futures looking good to me, Mama Mia and the Dancing Queen and finally, Thank You Graduation Song.

The evening was filled with lots of clapping and cheering, but there was also an element of sadness as we said goodbye to our graduating students.

Thank you to all of the students who worked really hard, and put on a fantastic show, and to all of the parents for their support.
