May Newsletter

Dear Parents,

In May we'll be studying the USA. This is a big subject (it's a big country!) and there is a lot to cover. We plan to focus on history and geography first, in order to get an idea of what and where it is that we're talking about. Once we know all the basic information about America, we can move on to some more interesting details.

There's so much to learn about American culture that it is impossible to cover it all, so we'll concentrate on what's most relevant and fun. That means discovering American sports, music, food and entertainment as well as the country's diversity of wildlife, landscape and ethnicity. We'll also surely learn some interesting facts about Mr. Brian's native state of California, home of Hollywood, the biggest tree on earth, and Governor Arnold Schwarzeneggar.

If you or someone in your family has visited the United States, please share these experiences with your child. Better yet, send some pictures to share with the whole class.
Enjoy your child!
